For the past two years I've participated in GISHWHES, which is a week-long international scavenger hunt done in teams of 15 people. It's a wonderful opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and have fun, or try something you've never done before. We've done some crazy things, like feed someone soup with a leaf blower, slather up in whipped cream and give people free hugs, or hold a funeral for death.
This year was no different--well, kinda. It was an amazing week of doing new projects and making new friends. The reward is the fun you have and the relationships you make. There is a winner, but it wasn't us. However, each year GISHWHES prints a coffee table book to remind you of the crazy things you did, and I got in three times!

This dress took 8 hours, and was my favorite project this year. It is 100% paper (and some glue and tape).

Salt, pepper, and pretty Robert. Also glue. I've never done a portrait in this media. Probably won't again....

This picture came at the end of a riddle that took us a week to figure out. We had to solve various clues on a bunch of internet pages before finally getting to the end. It was difficult! Nonetheless, on the last day with a few hours to spare, we figured out the last clue and were given a prompt to amaze a clergy member by turning water into wine. Tada!! God bless my sweet neighbor who agreed to help, and my bestie who took the picture--she flew out from VA for the week.
GISHWHES stands for the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen. I highly suggest joining. I might even need some dedicated players on my team this year! Check it out: https://www.gishwhes.com/g_blog/what-is-gishwhes/
